I like the Old Ways
"I Like the Old Ways" (feat. Los Gumbos) is a swaggering, high-energy track that captures the raw charm of a live room recording. Driven by an infectious, highly danceable groove and cutting, distinct guitar lines, the song highlights Taio Boumort's signature raspy vocals. It's a gritty, foot-stomping nod to classic rock 'n' roll that channels the effortless, loose attitude of vintage Rolling Stones.
Taio Boumort is a nomadic singer-songwriter whose raw Americana and roots-rock style has been shaped by three major European chapters. His musical journey began in Barcelona, fronting the 1990s cult hard-rock band Gran Panico Sur, before he spent over a decade touring internationally both solo and with the South Germany based bands Elk & Bearhead and The Royal Hobos. Now based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, he continues to release gritty, bilingual storytelling music, balancing intimate acoustic solo projects with high-octane rock sets. His new project, under the name Black Zopilotes, has no fixed line up and operates as the perfect excuse to develop songs with favorite musicians and friends.
